Another Cup of Tea is a Photography Gallery based on the same software engine that is used on the painting gallery below. AnotherCupOfTea.com has beautiful pictures of flowers. They also have pictures of animals including wild bunnies, woodchucks and bobcats. And still more pictures of barns, tractors and other inanimate things. The major difference in this application of the program there is a module that resides on the computer of the photographer. The photographer only has to feed the software one picture of any size and the software automatically regenerates the images in three sizes in two different formats while stamping the "anothercuporftea" brand on the image files. This saves 10-15 minutes of time in photoshop per image. The software handles the uploading of the correct images to the web site and generates all of the pages. On the photographer's computer the software helps to manage his image library.
Jean Groberg is a 80 year old Artist - that is, she paints. We built a database-backed web site to show and sell her Paintings. It is an attractive site with navigation that exposes the contents of the gallery, or section of the web site that you are presently in. More important than that we set it up so that it is quite simple for her to add things to and manage using her web browser. Using a set of secure, password protected pages, she can upload pictures of her paintings, Drawings of the folk architecture tank houses, quilting or other projects and set up distinct galleries. She can move a picture from one gallery to another or edit many aspects of her paintings and her web site. In truth, it is a pretty complex site but it is set up so that the complexity is handled by the Database, not the human. Did we mention that she is 80 years old and doesn't know HTML? There are almost 300 paintings in her site, she gets visitors from all over the world and it helps her sell her artwork.
TeeVeeNews.com is another site using a modified version of the CMS. The guy who is using it has Political Commentary/cartoons that are photoshopped together from stock photography and posed action figures. He also has a separate section of free-verse poetry that is worth a look.
Beckley-ViolinBows.com Our bow maker client, Steven Beckley, wanted a new site just for the Violin Bows that he makes and sells. Green and cream colored. He wanted this site to be separate to his bow making materials site so it can be optimized to attract traffic for people who are looking for handmade violin bows.
Dive The Reef This is a site where you can search for and book scuba dives and adventure vacations on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. This was a team effort. Our part in the operation is to handle all of the imaging and html coding We designed and optimized most of the pages and consulted on the structure of their database. There was a guy who handles the Database that runs the whole operation, and there are writers and editors. This productive group are working to fit the design to the vision of the main guy.
BowWorks This is a site for a gentleman who makes Violin Bows and sells Bow Making Supplies. He used to have pages of the bows that he makes as well as the bow making materials, but he has recently decided to split the content into two sites, figuring that the people who are buying the bows don't need to was the materials stuff. As the site evolves, he is adding colors pictures of the different types of beautiful Abalone shell and the interesting kinds of leather that are used to wrap the handles of bows. Frog Skin? Water Monitor leather? Ostrich? You bet!
Of course there is our site here. You will find some things that we have written, some photographs, eventually some chicken information. We do the serious web stuff all day long, can't folk have a little fun with their own Web Site?
